WHILE Ardal O’Hanlon is investigating murder under the sun in Death In Paradise (Thursdays at 9pm on BBC1), poor old Douglas Henshall is left to freeze his socks off policing the remote Scottish islands. As we head to Shetland for an absorbing new six-part case, Detective Inspector Jimmy Perez and his loyal deputies, Sandy and Tosh (Steven Robertson and Alison O’Donnell, right, with Henshall as Perez), are called into action when a severed hand washes up on a Shetland beach, with further body parts discovered in a holdall that has been dumped at sea. These turn out to belong to an African teenager called Daniel Ugara – but what was this young man doing on Shetland, who wanted him murdered and what does his mother Olivia (played by Holby City’s Rakie Ayola) know about his death?
