Munster rugby star Peter O’Mahony, 28, is featured in the sports section. The flanker was part of the Ireland team that won the Grand Slam in last year’s Six Nations.
Irish investigative journalist Sally Hayden, 29, has amassed an extensive portfolio reporting on humanitarian crises across the globe.
Kevin Glynn, 28, is co-founder of Butternut Box, a start-up that has served three million meals to pets. The company raised over €7million in investment capital.
Innovator Edel Browne developed a laser light attached to a shoe to help people with Parkinson’s disease whose feet freeze as a result of their condition.
In 2012, Ciara Clancy, 28, set up Beats Medical, a company that sells an app that helps people with Parkinson’s disease, including games to encourage finger dexterity.
Conall Laverty, the founder and CEO of Wia, also made the list. His company gives technical support to firms building ‘the internet of things’ – the connection between electronic devices that will one day allow people to control household appliances remotely.
