Vogue: Why I know best on breast for Theo and myself!

-

VOGUE Williams has opened up about her fears over childbirth, where she stands on breastfeeding and her plans for more children with husband Spencer Matthews. The TV star, 33, who shares a five-month-old son with Spencer, spoke on the Made By Mammas podcast and penned an article for Grazia magazine about labour and motherhood.

In her candid chat with Zoe Hardman and Georgia Dayton on the podcast, the Howth native revealed she used a balloon device called the Epi-No to help give birth to son Theodore, or Theo, pictured with his parents, more easily.

She also spoke in her article about the cruel reaction she was met over breastfeeding. On motherhood, Vogue said: ‘I absolutely love it, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done in my life. I think we’ve got a good baby; he’s a good eater and sleeper. Both of us really wanted children for quite a while: I’ve wanted kids for years and years.’

Vogue discussed how she has been criticised for sharing her first experience of breastfeeding in public. After sharing the snap online, she revealed she received a torrent of criticism and saw a number of arguments among followers over ‘breast being best’ and her own choice about stopping feeding after six months.

She wrote: ‘As a mum, the last thing you need is to be parent-shamed. Negative comments do affect you and it made me question whether I was selfish.

‘In a way I am [stopping breastfeeding] for selfish reasons. I’m going back to work full-time this month and Spencer and I want to try for a baby at the end of the year. After nine months of pregnancy and six months of breastfeeding, I want to feel like myself again for a while before I get pregnant again.’

Discussing breastfeeding, Vogue added: ‘Your boobs are like hot rocks of lava! I’d never want implants they looked terrible on me.’
