Ban killer robots ‘to save humans’
KILLER robots should be banned to stop them wiping out humanity, a gathering of scientists has been told.
Advances in artificial intelligence mean machines with the power to attack targets without human input could soon be developed, the American Association for the Advancement of Science’s summit heard.
Mary Wareham, from the Campaign to Stop Killer Robots, said yesterday: ‘The security of the world and future of humanity hinges on achieving a ban on killer robots.’
