Rory dismisses Garcia apology

RORY McILROY has condemned Sergio Garcia for his behaviour in Saudi Arabia when the Spaniard was disqualified for deliberately damaging the greens at the Saudi International last month. Garcia has since cited ‘emotional, personal news’ as being a contributory factor in his behaviour but McIlroy said it was ‘unacceptable’ conduct. ‘It doesn’t matter where

you’re from or if you’ve got personal issues, it was completely unacceptable,’ said McIlroy (above). ‘If you’ve got stuff bothering you, let the course be your sanctuary. We’ve all had to deal with personal issues at some point.’
