WINE CHOICE:

A point strongly in favour of this place is that you can take a bottle of wine from the wine shop, pay the retail price and no corkage. Prices are a little ambitious (Chateau Méaume 2014 is just over €18 here and just over €15 in my local Centra) but the range is impressive.

THE SMART MONEY:

Takes advantage of the wine prices and, perhaps, sticks with the cheese selection?

Alex Findlater & Co used to be a chain of grocery shops in the greater Dublin area that went out of business with the advent of supermarkets. The company subsequently specialised in wine imports and is no longer owned by the Findlater family.
