AFTER the success of the James Nesbitt-led drama The Missing the French detective from that show limps back on to our screens in his own spin-off series. Tchéky Karyo is set to delight fans once again as he returns as the stubborn investigator Julien Baptiste (right), who, while on a trip to Amsterdam, is enlisted by the local chief of police to find a missing sex worker. Written by The Missing’s Harry and Jack Williams, this six-part thriller benefits greatly from the presence of Tom Hollander as the poor girl’s uncle, who may know more about his niece’s disappearance than he’s letting on… Can Baptiste solve the mystery? As an added treat for fans of the detective, it’s also been hinted this series will reveal a lot more about his personal life – so stay tuned.
