THE NEW SEAT TARRACO SUV

THE all-new SEAT Tarraco SUV, available with five or seven seats, has gone on sale, with pricing starting at €34,700. The car joins the Ateca and Arona in the crossover segment, and arrives in four engine variants, two petrol and two diesel. Depending on the trim level, you can get finance at either 1.9% or 2.9% APR and monthly payments of €339. It’s very handsome, if a little VW in looks.

PEUGEOT ROARS AHEAD

PEUGEOT launches the new 508 Fastback, Rifter MPV and Partner van this week, all three of which surely will help consolidate its resurgence. In January, the French carmaker achieved a market share here of 5.4% across passenger and commercial vehicles, its highest since 2005. The 508 is my current Car of The Year and also won the award for Most Beautiful Car at the International Automobile Festival in Paris last month, and I look forward to taking it for a spin to Cork on Monday.

ELECTRIFYING SUBARU

SUBARU is the latest brand to go electric, and will show two electrified models at the 89th Geneva International Motor Show, both equipped with eBOXER powertrains. The company also will debut the latest iteration of the Levorg, featuring a redesigned front bonnet and newly equipped with 2.0L NA BOXER engine.
