TREATY TAKE HEAVY HITTERS TO NOWLAN PARK

- By PHILIP LANIGAN

ALL-IRELAND champions Limerick clearly mean business as they head to Nowlan Park tomorrow to take on Kilkenny in the third round of the Allianz Hurling League with John Kiely including Cian Lynch and Kyle Hayes in his starting XV. Ten of the team that started against Galway in last year’s final feature again, including Aaron Gillane who is in red-hot form right now after scoring 1-12 with Mary Immaculate in the Fitzgibbon Cup semifinal on Thursday. Shane Dowling, a player who made such a big impact off the bench last summer, is listed at centre-forward. With Declan Hannon dropping to the bench, Dan Morrissey takes over at centre-back. Kilkenny also start a couple of big names. Padraig Walsh is named at wing-back and Walter Walsh leads the attack. Tony Kelly returns to captain Clare for his county’s trip to Páirc Uí Rinn to play Cork with Aidan Walsh again at full-forward. Liam Sheedy rings the changes after Tipperary were beaten by Limerick in the last round. Paul

Maher gets his first start of the League in goal, while Séamus Kennedy returns to the backline. Up front Jason Forde, John O’Dwyer and Niall O’Meara all come into the attack for the trip to Innovate Wexford Park.
