ZAHA GETS A FURTHER BAN

-

WILFRIED ZAHA has been banned for Crystal Palace’s FA Cup fifthround trip to Doncaster as additional punishment for sarcastically applauding referee Andre Marriner. An appeal by the winger was dismissed by the FA yesterday. Zaha has already served a onematch suspension for his sendingoff at Southampton last month, when he was shown a second yellow card for clapping Marriner. The FA issued the 26-year-old with a further charge of improper conduct for continuing to applaud while leaving the pitch. Zaha challenged that charge but has lost his appeal, meaning manager Roy Hodgson will not be able to use him tomorrow.
