GAEL MONFILS claimed the Rotterdam Open title yesterday as he saw off Stan Wawrinka in three sets. Switzerland’s three-time major winner Wawrinka, playing in his first final in 20 months, responded impressively to falling a set behind before Monfils clinched a 6-3 1-6 6-2 victory after an hour and 44 minutes. It is the eighth ATP World Tour title of the 32-year-old Frenchman’s career.
