CLOCK TICKING FOR CODY AND HIS CATS

‘I’M NOT going home thinking it was a disaster,’ said Kilkenny manager Brian Cody (below) last night. Perhaps he should. Cody tried to take encouragement from Kilkenny rallying to an extent in the second half, but the fact is Limerick had a bow around this game with more than a quarter of it still to play. Kilkenny’s failure to create meaningful goal chances was marked. There is definite young talent emerging in his 21st season, but the concentration of quality at the top of the game means the time to develop is scarce.
