THEY were rumoured to be getting close on the set of their new film, now new Bond girl Ana de Armas and actor Ben Affleck appear to be very much in the first flushes of romance on a beach getaway.
The actors only had eyes for one another as they strolled barefoot along the sands in Costa Rica, Ms de Armas resting her head affectionately on Affleck’s shoulder as he wrapped his arm around her.
Later, Good Will Hunting star Affleck took pictures of Ms de Armas, 31, who plays CIA agent Paloma alongside Daniel Craig in the latest Bond, No Time To Die.
The pair have been working closely on the set of erotic thriller Deep Water, in which they play a couple whose open marriage is tested by an unsolved murder from the wife’s past.
The film follows Affleck as a well-to-do husband who allows his wife, Ms de Armas, to have affairs in order to avoid a divorce. He then becomes a prime suspect in the disappearance of her lovers. The film is due to be released in November.
Affleck, 47, was married to actress Jennifer Garner, with whom he has three children. They divorced in 2018, with Affleck later saying their split, which he blamed on his drinking problems, was his ‘biggest regret’.
He told the New York Times: ‘I drank relatively normally for a long time. You’re trying to make yourself feel better with eating or drinking or sex or gambling or shopping or whatever. But that ends up making your life worse. Then you do more of it to make that discomfort go away. Then the real pain starts.’
