GRAND ANNUAL HANDICAP CHASE

4.50: GRADE THREE — 2 MILES

-

US AND THEM is a rather speculative choice in one of the toughest handicaps of the week. However, he possessed the quality to finish second in a number of Grade One novice events last term, including the Arkle Chase, so could be handicapped to strike. If the rain stays away and he can recapture the form which saw him chase home Ornua at Aintree last spring, then the selection appears over-priced. There is a chance that Two Taffs may not find this a sufficient test, given he ran in the Ladbrokes Trophy and was a staying-on runner-up over two-and-a-half miles at Warwick last time. However, a strongly run two miles could be the answer as he raced exuberantly last time and his two trips to Cheltenham have yielded placed efforts.
