Gogglebox Ireland: A Year Of Great Telly 9PM, VIRGIN MEDIA TWO

If you’re sick to the back teeth of watching the news/Prime Time, then this highlights programme from series one is just the tonic. It certainly captures the mood of the moment – as we all seem to be stuck indoors watching the telly these days!

The Pet Talent Agency: Barking Mad 10PM, CH4

A little bit of zany escapism is what many of us are in the mood for right now, and there’s plenty of that here. Barking Mad supplies animals for films and TV jobs, and no request is too ambitious for equally mad Karen Chamberlain and her lively team. Julia Roberts leads this ensemble comedy, which follows the dramatic twists of several families on Mother’s Day. Jennifer Aniston also stars.

The Lost Boys 10PM, 5STAR

Hugely enjoyable teen comedy horror from Joel Schumacher, with an Eighties soundtrack to match. Kiefer Sutherland (pictured left with Brooke McCarter) leads a pack of vampires, dining out in a California beach town. Jason Patric is the new boy who, along with his younger brother (played by the late Corey Haim), puts up a fight when the vamps get their fangs out.

Drive 12.15AM, SONY MOVIES

This American action drama directed by Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn was a 2011 hit. It follows an unnamed stunt driver (Ryan Gosling) who moonlights as an armed-heist getaway driver. When he falls in love with Irene (Carey Mulligan), who is married to a dangerous criminal, he crosses over to the other side of the law in a bid to protect her from her husband’s cronies.
