My face has aged years in lockdown as I can’t top up my fillers!

Anti-agers no one but you need know about

QI HAD some facial fillers in December and worry about not being able to top them up. In general, I feel like I have aged rather a lot in lockdown! What can I do to keep my skin plump?

AFIRST of all, fillers can last nine months or longer, so you’re fine for a few more months! But with the right products and a bit of quarantine time spent on your face, it could end up plumper and glowier than ever.

Start from the inside: up your intake of fruit and veg (the green leafy sort in particular), along with fatty fish. These foods keep skin cells juicy.

Now, up to three times a week, try this cell-plumping routine after cleansing. Start with an exfoliating mask to clear the way for deep-penetrating skincare actives: I love Oskia Liquid Mask Lactic Acid MicroPeel, (£65, oskiaskincare.com).

Remove after 10-15 minutes and follow with 20 minutes of a deep-quenching mask like Yes To Watermelon Super Fresh Jelly Mask, (€12.30, beautybay.com).

Before bed, apply hyaluronic acid serum: a really good one, like Zelens Z Hyaluron Serum Drops, (€63.45, lookfantastic.

com), will keep the surface irrigated and also boost production of hydrating substances inside the skin.

On top, press a few drops of an omega fatty acid-rich oil such as the super-light Alpha-H Vitamin E Serum, (€32.50, cult beauty.com).

This reinforces the skin barrier: essential for retaining moisture long-term. You may not need to top up your fillers at all!
