Now Gwynnie ropes in her mum to sell €81 creams

- By Emma Powell

WHEN Gwyneth Paltrow wanted help selling her latest Goop product, she found it close to home. The actress used her mother Blythe Danner and her daughter Apple Martin in a video to promote face creams she says are suitable for all ages.

Paltrow, 47, hugged her ‘special guests’ in the garden of her Los Angeles home as she told viewers about the benefits of using her Goopgenes potions. A description posted on Instagram says the face cream – €81 for 50ml – contains schisandra fruit, illipe butter, caviar lime, and squalene, while the eye cream – €47 for 15ml – ‘helps firm and smooth the appearance of crow’s-feet’.

Apple, 16, whose father is Coldplay singer Chris Martin, was heard asking her mother and grandmother what advice they would give their younger selves.

Danner, 77, who has appeared in dozens of TV shows and films including Meet The Parents, replied ‘Grow up’, while Paltrow shouted: ‘Get your s*** together, man!’ The film did not promote the latest controversial product on the Goop website – a fancy dish-washing kit costing €34, not including detergent. Made by French homeware brand Andrée Jardin, it includes an ‘ergonomically designed’ kitchen sponge. A description on Goop reads: ‘Made in France, this handy kit comes fully equipped with a foaming sponge, a beechwood Tampico-bristle brush, steel-wool sponge and linen cloth. Simply put, everything you need for squeaky-clean dishes (minus the soap).’

Last month Ms Paltrow, who set up Goop in 2008, launched a €65 candle which she claims smells of her orgasm.
