HE delivered plenty of satisfaction in Normal People – and now sex symbol Paul Mescal is to appear in a Rolling Stones video.

The Co. Kildare actor will star in the video for Scarlet, a previously unreleased 1974 song the group recorded with Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page.

A short clip of the video shows Mescal looking worse for wear in a hotel room, trying to get the song to play on a laptop.

Another Instagram clip shows him drinking and saying to the camera: ‘I think we’ll be fine.’

The video was recorded at London’s Claridge’s Hotel and will be released on Thursday. In the video, Mescal plays a hunky, heavy-drinking party boy who misses a woman called Scarlet.

The Stones will include the song in their upcoming boxset, Goats Head Soup, which will also feature two other previously unreleased tracks – All The Rage and Criss Cross – as well as ‘many more rarities, outtakes and alternative mixes’. It will be released on September 4.

This is Mescal’s second music collaboration in a week.

He and singer Dermot Kennedy entertained fans as they duetted at the Natural

History Museum in London last Thursday evening as part of the Some Summer Night series.

Between each song, Mescal read out pieces of poetry.

Mescal’s role in Normal People earned him an Emmy nomination for Lead Actor In A Series or TV Movie.

Meanwhile, Mick Jagger, 77, has given an update on the progress of the next batch of Rolling Stones music, revealing in an interview that the band has been working on new material during the coronavirus lockdown.
