A REQUEST by a group of Premier League clubs to screen their own matches has failed. Next season is set to kick off behind closed doors – and if and when supporters are allowed back into stadiums it is likely to be on a reducedcapacity basis.

Unlike the situation following the restart, not all matches will be televised – and there are fears that illegal streams, on which fans can watch for free, will be rife.

Sportsmail understands that a number of top-flight sides wished to show non-televised matches on club websites, charging a subscription fee in the process.

„ ▪ WOLVES will consider offers for Adama Traore during the transfer window. The club are not under pressure to sell the 24-year-old, who is highly regarded by boss Nuno Espirito Santo, but Sportsmail understands they would listen to a big offer.

„ ▪ BURNLEY have held talks over a move for Angers midfielder Baptiste Santamaria.

The 25-year-old was a £12million target for Aston Villa and has also been considered by Leicester City and Everton.

„ ▪ EVERTON have had an opening bid for Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure rejected. The 27year-old is keen to leave Vicarage Road following Watford’s relegation. Watford would accept around £25million for the midfielder. Everton have also been linked with Napoli’s Brazilian midfielder Allan, 29.

„ ▪ ALAN MURPHY has departed as Galway United manager. Murphy became Galway United’s all-time leading scorer in 2018 when he scored his 75th league goal for the club against Cobh Ramblers. Moves to Derry City, Shamrock Rovers and Mervue United followed before his return in 2018 when he was appointed first team manager.
