THE Covid lockdown baby-boom appears to have begun in celebrity circles.

Irish actress Amy Huberman announced yesterday that she has a ‘bun in the oven’ – as she and her husband, former Irish rugby international Brian O’Driscoll, are expecting their third child.

Amy and Brian, who celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in July, already have two children, seven-year-old Sadie and five-year-old Billy.

Taking to Instagram yesterday, Amy was true to her usual cheeky form, posting a picture of a bun in her oven.

The Finding Joy creator wrote: ‘There’s a bun in the oven! ‘Listen I know I’m a pun hun and this is pun hun’s bun pun but there IS an actual little bun in the oven.’

She added: ‘We’ve been cooking something other than banana bread & sourdough over the past few months and it’s over half way cooked now but it’s a slow cook one so still needs another few months yet.

‘Only prob is between the PE teacher and the painter and the gardener and the baker during lockdown I might not be entiiiiiiirely sure who the Dad is.’

Amy went on to joke: ‘Was starting to get looks from people as I was leaving the shops with a mask on and what looked like merch stuffed up my top on the rob.’

Thousands of fans congratulated Amy on the couple’s happy news, with television presenter Laura Whitmore joking: ‘Congratulations on the baking skills!!’

Meanwhile, Cork author Louise O’Neill commented: ‘Ah I’m delighted for you, love!’

Former actress Aoibhín Garrihy also wrote: ‘Such gorgeous news.’
