- By Graham McGrath

CONDOLENCES are pouring in for a young mother-of-two who died in a serious car crash in Louth over the weekend.

Sarah Larkin, 31, was involved in the collision at about 8.50pm on Saturday on the N2 at Glebe in Co. Louth, between Ardee and Carrickmacross.

Gardaí confirmed that Sarah was pronounced dead at the scene and was removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where a post mortem is to be held.

Members of Sarah’s community in Ardee have been expressing their condolences online.

In a post on a page supporting a campaign into the unsolved 1976 murder of Seamus Ludlow, one person said: ‘Sarah is the daughter of Eoin Larkin who is prominent in the Seamus Ludlow campaign. I wish to extend my condolences to the entire Larkin circle.’

Sinn Féin councillor Pearse McGeough added: ‘I would like to convey my own deepest sympathies and those of all in the wider Ludlow family circle to Eoin and all the Larkin family at this saddest of times. May she rest in peace.’
