THERE have been many lavish costume dramas to gorge on this winter – the latest on everyone’s Netflix trending list is Bridgerton. Based on a series of Julia Quinn romance novels, it’s written by the talented Chris Van Dusen, who worked on Grey’s Anatomy. Set in 18th century London, it’s a scandalous tale of feuding family rivalries with a heady mix of dinners, parties, balls and steamy scenes thrown in. The costume is loosely rooted in history but definitely the hook, line and binge-watch sinker. Daphne Bridgerton has inspired my new love of at-home chandelier earring wearing.
