THE remarkably moving tale of Kevin and Phyllis, who moved from Ireland to London as teens, starts the new series as Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell (pictured) return to reunite families, and leave viewers in floods of tears. In this grim and, these days, sadly familiar story, we learn that the couple had a baby in 1974, and their landlady threw them out, forcing them to give their child to an agency — and they never got him back. The trail leads Nicky to Spain. Meanwhile, in Glasgow, Michael wants to solve the mystery of why his own mother abandoned him. ‘She left me to be babysat, and then never came back for me,’ he said.
