Gould medal! How pregnant Ellie took her bump for a run
SHE may be eight months pregnant but nothing is getting in the way of Ellie Goulding’s workouts.
The super-fit singer, who usually shows off an impressive set of toned abs, has been spotted running in her neighbourhood despite being in her third trimester.
The 34-year-old wore an inconspicuous baggy black hoodie, a far cry from the billowing cornflower blue dress she wore on the Graham Norton Show on Friday or the elegant white ensemble she chose a few days earlier when her pregnancy was revealed in Vogue.
This will be the first baby for Ms Goulding, who is married to art dealer Caspar Jopling, 29. She said she had worn Mr Jopling’s coat to conceal her bump for six months.
And while she is keen to keep exercising, she said her usual diet of salads, nuts and seeds was thrown out of the window when she developed cravings.
‘I suddenly wanted all of the bad things!’ she said. ‘I just wanted sugar and carbs.’
However, the pop star isn’t unhappy with her changing body.
‘Becoming pregnant kind of made me feel human,’ she said. ‘I want a better word than womanly, [but] I have curves I’ve never had before. I’m enjoying it. My husband’s enjoying it.’
