A Laura sleepless nights as TV host has baby girl

- Irish Daily Mail Reporter

LAURA Whitmore has begun a happy ‘new chapter’ in her life – after giving birth to a baby girl.

The 35-year-old TV host and her husband Iain Stirling, 33, have welcomed their first-born into the world, but there is no sign of a name for their daughter yet.

While the couple have yet to announce their little one’s arrival on social media, they were seen out and about with their newborn in London on Wednesday.

The pair confirmed in mid-December they were expecting, sharing their happy news on Instagram, a day after it was revealed they had secretly married during a Humanist ceremony at Dublin’s City Hall in November.

Laura, who is from Bray, Co. Wicklow, revealed the sex of her baby in her self-help book, No One Can Change Your Life Except for You. She said: ‘As I finish this book, it doesn’t end at chapter nine, there’s a new chapter coming into my life – in the form of a baby girl currently growing inside me and that scares the s**t out of me.

‘I once swallowed a bug and freaked out there was a live bug inside me. A live human is a whole new level of freaking out but I am excited because there’s a lot of good in the world, there’s a lot of potential.’

Reflecting on impending motherhood, Laura said: ‘I want to bring up my child knowing that she has her own story to write.

‘She will be supported and loved. But she is the heroine of her own life, no one else.’

It is not known when Laura gave birth, but she missed her BBC Radio 5 show on Sunday when Stacey Dooley stepped in. Celebrity Juice star Laura is hoping to be back at work this summer for the next series of Love Island.
