‘I had been living in the Alps while doing my course work remotely, but when I heard France would be added to the list, I made the snap decision to return home in order to avoid the massive [hotel quarantine] fee.

‘While I was waiting on my PCR test results, I missed my first flight and the following day the plane they tried to put me on was fully booked out.

‘It was a very stressful experience trying to get back, but I’m so thankful to be home at long last. I was travelling for nearly three days straight and am just exhausted.

‘I can’t even imagine spending so much money and staying two weeks isolated in some hotel room.

‘I haven’t heard too many good stories of people in quarantine so I’m pretty sure I made the right decision.’
