WHAT’S NOW & HOW TO DO IT . . . FEET FIXERS

-

THE past year has been hard on feet. After all that walking, our soles need some TLC before we can brave sandals again.

According to foot expert Margaret Dabbs, the skin on the soles of your feet can be 12 times thicker than elsewhere, so your regular body cream won’t be enough.

Bare Feet Conditioning Foot Cream (below centre, €10.40, barefeetandhands.co.uk) helps reduce the buildup of hard skin and is blended with antibacterial Manuka honey, sweet almond oil, ginger and avocado oil.

Leighton Denny Sole Rescue Softening Foot Balm (far left, €14, from leightondennyexpertnails.com) contains lactic acid to break down dead skin and peppermint oil. While mentholscented Mavala Hydro-Repairing Foot Care (€15.40, nailpolishdirect. co.uk) helps repair cracked heels and calluses as it’s 25 per cent urea, an intensive moisturising agent for those feet.
