TROLLING ARLENE WAS A MISTAKE

IT sounds like the kind of news headline you hear in a dream: Dr Christian Jessen from Embarrassing Bodies libelled DUP leader Arlene Foster by claiming on Twitter that she’d had an affair with her security officer. The initial tweet, just before Christmas 2019, left Mrs Foster ‘distressed and humiliated’, she told a Belfast court this week, and it sparked a flurry of even nastier rumours. Rather than endure the abuse, as many must do, Mrs Foster lawyered up and went after Dr Jessen – as a warning to all social media trolls, hiding behind their madeup handles, let’s hope she goes on to pursue all those cowards who joined the pile-on.
