Florence and the Twitter machine

FLORENCE Pugh has become the latest A-lister to touch down in Ireland for filming, and fans have made their joy be known on Twitter. The Black Widow star has arrived to shoot the Netflix psychological thriller movie The Wonder, which is an adaptation of the book by the Irish author Emma Donoghue. The British actress, inset, announced her arrival with a joke tribute to Hollywood – as in the village in Wicklow. She posted a picture of a the iconic ‘Hollywood’ sign on green Irish hills. The star followed that up by posting a behind-the-scenes snap from the set on Instagram. Showing off her new brunette locks, the 25-year-old said: ‘First day shoot nerves. Let’s go “The Wonder”!!!’ Many expressed their hopes the Little Women star might go west, with one tweeting: ‘Would you like to visit the west, Florence Pugh? I will send you my eircode.’ Another wrote: ‘If Florence Pugh comes anywhere near the west of Ireland, I’m on the first bus/public transport to where she is.’ Others asked about a possible revival of Florence’s viral pandemic cooking series, while many were just hoping to go for a pint with the A-lister.
