PICK OF THE DAY
JONNIE’S BLADE CAMP, 10PM, CH4
THE Olympics may be over but we still have the Paralympics to look forward to, which often highlight even greater feats of human accomplishment. One such Paralympic hero is Jonnie Peacock, who was just 19 when he won gold at the London Paralympics in 2012 – and he repeated the feat four years later, in Rio. He’s already achieved a lot and wants to help the next generation to do even better, starting with this twoparter in which he gives five young amputees access to the best technology and training he can find. The children (Olivia, Harvey, Thomas, Mitchell and Maisie, right with Jonnie) all have different aims, from playing netball at school with friends to being able to ‘run faster than Jonnie’, and the heart everyone brings to the project is a real tonic.
