WHEN ‘SECRETS’ ARE OPEN...

ANGELINA Jolie made a ‘secret visit’ to a Ukrainian orphanage at the weekend. Maybe I’m missing something here, but since pictures from the visit have been plastered all over the world’s media, showing a beautifully coiffed and co-ordinated Angelina, right, posing with bewildered-looking children, I’m wondering what constitutes ‘secrecy’ in her world. And how did so many photographers just happen to be hanging around the remote location outside Lviv when she arrived? Angelina has been accused of selling her half of a vineyard owned with her ex Brad Pitt to a Russian oligarch, so maybe the old image needed a bit of burnishing. Or maybe this was another example of what President Zelensky, speaking after various world figures flew in to be pictured with him, has dubbed ‘war tourism’.
