WRITER-DIRECTOR Nora Ephron does something different with this big-screen update of the popular 1960s American sitcom. Nicole Kidman stars as Isabel Bigelow, the button-nosed witch auditioning for the lead role, Samantha, in a remake of the original TV show. Joining her on her broomstick is Will Ferrell as the actor playing Samantha’s husband, Darrin, while the excellent cast also includes Shirley MacLaine as Samantha’s mother, Endora, and Michael Caine as Isabel’s father.
