57 STREAMING SERVICES AND NOTHIN’ ON!

DO we really need another streaming service? Paramount+ will launch here next month, adding to the plethora already available – Amazon Prime, Apple TV+, Disney +, NOW TV, and the stumbling Netflix. Wallets are not bottomless, and while the new service will include programming for all the family by featuring Paramount films alongside Comedy Central, MTV and Nickleodeon, where is all the cash coming from for consumers to pay for this content? More to the point, I’ll never understand where people get the time to binge watch hours of any series, or how they actually enjoy it.

I can remember in great detail shows from the Eighties because I had a week to digest one episode before the next was available. Any time I ever watched six or seven episodes back to back, I had effectively forgotten the first by the time I started the last.
