MARVELLOUS NONSENSE OF THE MET BALL

SPEAKING of the Met Ball, it certainly brought a bit of muchneeded nonsense to an otherwise grim news cycle, with Kim Kardashian, right, below, squeezing into Marilyn Monroe’s famous ‘Happy Birthday Mr President’ dress – on loan from Ripley’s Believe It or Not, where it’s stored in dim light and controlled temperatures like a Monet watercolour. Then our own Jessie Buckley turned up in a pinstriped suit, fedora and Clark Gable moustache. Best laugh of the night, though, came from model Cara Delevigne, right, top, who wore nothing on top except some gold body paint with gilded discs covering her nipples; she looked like a gold-sprayed statue of Marty Feldman – check him out.
