BIG BROTHER’S BABY

Brian’s little sister is surrogate for duo

- By Lisa O’Donnell

BIG Brother star Brian Dowling has announced his sister is acting as surrogate mother to his and husband Arthur Gourounlian’s first child.

Brian and Dancing With The Stars judge Arthur announced recently that they are due to have a new addition to their house later this year.

Now the former Big Brother contestant, and later presenter, has confirmed his little sister is playing a major role in their journey – as she’s carrying the baby.

In an Instagram post yesterday, Brian, 43, said: ‘Not only is this my beautiful sister

Aoife, she is also our incredible surrogate. From our very first conversation about this back in 2019 to where we are now is absolutely amazing.

‘You have gone above and beyond for us @gourounlian whether it is mentally or physically and you have stayed so positive and upbeat through it all. From ultrasounds and ovulation tests to numerous conversations about your cycle to those four positive pregnancy tests we took where the three of us hugged and cried with happiness and excitement.’

He added: ‘We have been through every step of this together reassuring each other along the way that everything will be fine once we stick together.’ He went on to describe his sister as an ‘inspiration to all of us’.

‘You are literally giving us the gift of life. So to you Aoife and our wonderful egg donor none of this would be possible without you both,’ he said.
