Zara to net €1.95 returns charge

HIGH-street brand Zara has introduced fees for shoppers who want to return items they bought online.

The Spanish-owned retailer will charge Irish customers €1.95 to return unwanted items bought online from this month. According to its website, the charge will be taken out of your refund.

However, Zara pointed out that customers will be able to return orders free of charge at any shop in the same region where the purchase was made. Shoppers will still have 30 days to return unwanted items and Zara will also accept returns of items from different orders in a single shipment.

It’s not just Ireland that has been hit with this fee, as UK shoppers will also be charged – a £1.95 fee.

Zara decided to introduce the charge after an increase in the number of returns in recent months.
