Salvador Sobral romped home in 2017 with Amar Pelos Dois, but the country is unlikely to strike gold twice with this equally fragile tune, the name of which roughly translates as melancholy. The staging is unconvincing, as MARO and five other women sing in a circle without a single handbag on the floor between them.
