NARRATED by Angeline Ball, this six-part series shares the stories of people whose lives are defined by the River Liffey. For some it’s their workplace, for more their playground, while for others it has inspired their lives. We’ll get an insight into the artists and engineers, kayakers and dockers, swimmers and boat builders, the Navy and the fire brigade. The opening episode introduces viewers to drainage supervisor David Green, who explains the role the waterway played in the creation of Dublin. Cameras also follow SWIFT water instructor and fire fighter Conor Morris (pictured) as he conducts a major rescue drill in the river, while the crew of the LÉ William Butler Yeats return to Sir John Rogerson’s Quay after time away at sea.
