Ukranian talent joins festival bill

Blackwater Valley Opera Festival kicks off on May 31 and has now added a special ‘Voices of Ukraine’ performance to the programme. The event will take place at Dromore Yard in Waterford on June 5 at 4pm, replacing the Bolshoi Theatre Young Artists Recital, which was cancelled earlier this month in solidarity with the people of Ukraine. Artists including soprano Ruslana Koval (pictured), baritone Stanislav Kuflyuk and pianist Iryna Krasnovska will perform.
