COLLINS AND CULLEN ON THE MOVE AGAIN

- By CRAIG HOPE

■ TWO of Stephen Kenny’s brightest prospects look set for big-money transfers. Last night talks between Wolves and Burnley were said to be ‘progressing well’ over Nathan Collins. The £20.5million fee would be make him the most expensive Irish player ever, beating Liverpool’s £19m spend on Robbie Keane in 2008. The Kildare man (right) has been mentioned in connection with Newcastle and Leicester moves after his impressive displays in the Nations Cup games in June. And Burnley are set to spend a slice of the deal on Josh Cullen. The Anderlecht midfielder’s old boss Vincent Kompany is now at Turf Moor and keen to spend around £3m on the man with 20 Irish caps.

■ BRENTFORD look to have beaten Manchester United to the signing of goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha. The Albanian was a free agent following his exit from Lazio and United thought they had won the race for the 27-year-old last week. Ex-Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina, 39, has left Lazio for Villarreal.

■ MANCHESTER UNITED chiefs Richard Arnold and John Murtough have met their Barcelona counterparts in an attempt to accelerate a deal for Frenkie de Jong. The pair were with sporting adviser Jordi Cruyff and director of football Mateu Alemany at Triton restaurant in the Catalan city yesterday. The framework of a £55million package is in place but the transfer has been complicated by wages owed to De Jong by Barcelona. United are confident the midfielder wants the move.

■ FULHAM have signed Andreas Pereira from United in an £8m deal plus £2m in add-ons. There is also a 20 per cent sell-on clause. The Brazilian midfielder, 26, spent more than a decade at Old Trafford but made just 45 Premier League appearances.

■ JUVENTUS have completed a deal for free agent Paul Pogba, six years after the Frenchman left for United in what was then a £89m world-record deal. He has signed a four-year contract with the Italian club.

■ BRENTFORD are also finalising a £20m deal for Hull City forward Keane LewisPotter. The 21-year-old has left Hull’s training camp in Turkey ahead of what will be a clubrecord signing for the Bees.

■ NOTTINGHAM FOREST have signed 21-year-old right-back Neco Williams from Liverpool in a £17m deal.

■ ASTON VILLA have agreed a season-long loan for Sevilla left back Ludwig Augustinsson.
