It’s never too early to get into the festive spirit, says Rosanna

CHRISTMAS is just around the corner, as Rosanna Davison launched the Arnotts Christmas Shop yesterday afternoon.

On the second level of the Henry Street shop in Dublin, the Arnotts crew delivers a mix of traditional and new festive favourites.

Opening the shop, model Rosanna said it’s never too early to get into the Christmas spirit.

The 38-year-old’s life has changed in the past few years. Since Covid hit in 2019, she and her husband Wes have welcomed not one but three babies into the family – Sophia, who is two, and one-year-old twins Oscar and Hugo. The focus has shifted to the children.

‘We’re kind of at the point where we just want to spend money on the kids. I don’t go out an awful lot any more, let’s be honest. So, I tend to just buy more clothes for them now than myself and, you know, winter coats and wellies and all that kind of stuff.’

The family will be going to the home of Rosanna’s parents, dad Chris de Burgh and mum Diane, to celebrate what could be their last Christmas in the family home, which is still on the market.

‘We did that last year and the one before because it feels like too much to host and have the children so it’s easier to pack up,’ Rosanna said. ‘At Christmas when you’re home with your family you kind of revert back a little and I’m discovering having small children that you get to live through everything again with them.

‘They’ve reignited the excitement in me for little things, like when we spot a JCB the excitement is huge and they’re really looking forward to Christmas this year.

‘Living your childhood again through your children is just magical.’

Despite being unable to jet off to escape the cold weather, Rosanna said she doesn’t take one second of her family for granted.

‘I’ve had nearly 20 years of working hard so I can step back a little bit.’
