Fulham to buy Duffy and land Cedric on loan

FULHAM are to make Shane Duffy’s loan from Brighton permanent to pave the way for the arrival of defender Cedric Soares from Arsenal. Fulham already have Ireland’s Duffy and Dan James, from Leeds, as their two designated domestic loans and a deal for Duffy is cheaper to complete. Cedric, 31, would then join on loan from Arsenal.

BRIGHTON have made an improved £14million-plus offer for Shakhtar Donetsk defender Mykola Matviyenko. However, the Ukrainians want around £25m. Brighton full back Tariq Lamptey is attracting enquiries from Sporting Lisbon, while Lyon have asked about taking Spurs’ Djed Spence on loan.

CHELSEA midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has an offer from Turkish side Adana Demirspor. The Blues have added Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes to their list of targets. The Portuguese is wanted by Liverpool, too.

CRYSTAL PALACE have made an approach for Bristol City striker Antoine Semenyo after Bournemouth’s £10m bid was rejected. BOURNEMOUTH are adding Roma left back Matias Vina, 25, on loan with an option to buy.

BLACKBURN’S Ben Brereton Diaz has agreed to join Villarreal in the summer. The Chile striker will be a free agent. Blackburn have agreed to sign Wales winger Sorba Thomas on loan from HUDDERSFIELD and are trying to land NOTTINGHAM FOREST’S Sam Surridge.

LIVERPOOL will look to reward Stefan Bajcetic’s progress with an improved deal. Jurgen Klopp sees the 18-year-old midfielder as a big part of the club’s future.
