VOGUE AND SPENCER TO SELL €6.1M PAD FOR ‘BIGGER’ ONE

- By Charlotte Dean

VOGUE Williams and husband Spencer Matthews have confirmed they are selling their €6.1million London pad in search of a ‘bigger family home’.

The celebrity couple have lived in the two-storey Battersea apartment since 2018, during which time they have welcomed children Theodore, five, Gigi, three, and Otto, two. However, after agreeing they need more space for their family, they are saying goodbye to their 4,000 sq ft apartment.

But potential buyers be warned: not only will you have to cough up the hefty asking price, an annual service charge of €30,000 is also applicable.

In January, the Irish Mail on Sunday revealed that podcaster Ms Williams, 37, had splashed out almost €3million on a new ‘forever family home’ with spectacular views in her native Howth, Co. Dublin. She said of the area: ‘It’s where I grew up. It’s the only place I’d want to live in Dublin... It’s by the sea, and when you’re working all the time in London, it’s nice to go back there.’

However, her husband, Made

In Chelsea star Matthews, 34, had some reservations about moving to Howth early on, describing the village as ‘like Bournemouth’.

Their London property comes complete with a tastefully decorated, open-plan kitchen/living area, four bedrooms, home gym, bar-cinema room and sauna. However, Matthews previously said he originally had very different plans for the interior of their home.

He said: ‘I thought it would be cool to have this fun, New York studio vibe. Exposed brick, an orange resin floor, motorbikes indoors, supercool man cave stuff – but I was outgunned.’ Ms Williams compromised and allowed him to have a brushed concrete floor installed, though she said: ‘I hated it. It was so uncomfortable. And then I had to pay to get wood flooring instead.’

Ms Williams and her spouse originally only owned the first floor of the apartment, but later purchased the ground floor.

The pair have been married since 2018, and first met at the training camp for the television show The Jump in January of the previous year. They also own a home in Jersey.
