MAN SHOT 6 TIMES IN THE BACK
Victim left fighting for life after horror attack outside home
A MAN was fighting for his life last night after being blasted six times in the back outside his home.
The victim, in his late 30s, was gunned down in Mulhuddart, West Dublin, at around 8.20pm.
A source said he is in a “critical condition” after the attack at Parslickstown Green. Emergency services
including members of the Dublin Fire Brigade were on the scene within minutes and the man was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where he was being treated last night.
The man is not believed to be known to gardai and it is understood the attempt on his life is not connected to the bloody feud between the Kinahan and Hutch gangs.
Gardai have appealed for anyone who may have been in the area at the time to contact Blanchardstown Garda station on 01 6667000.
The scene of the shooting was sealed off last night as officers launched an investigation.
The shocking attack comes just four days after notorious Dublin criminal Mark “Guinea Pig” Desmond was executed in Lucan, West Dublin.
The 41-year-old was found dead in Griffeen Valley Park after being shot six times in the head, chest and groin.
He was a suspect in several murders and also the rape of a 15-year-old boy.
