Tenants join rents crisis campaign

RENTERS gathered last night to make a push for rent certainty and discuss Ireland’s deepening crisis.

People from across Dublin and surrounding counties made their way to Liberty Hall on Eden Quay to talk about the Secure Rents campaign for greater security of tenure.

Impact’s Joe O’connor said: “Since launching the campaign, we’ve heard heartbreaking stories from hundreds of renters at our meetings and our website.

“They have spoken about their fears of homelessness, constant insecurity and the crippling effect of rising rents on living standards.

“Our campaign’s demands are fair, achievable, and have widespread support.”
