Mcqueen snubs Kop for future at Saints
LIVERPOOL target Sam Mcqueen has snubbed Jurgen Klopp by signing a bumper new deal at home-town club Southampton.
Mcqueen, who made his Premier League debut in October, has committed his future to St Mary’s until the summer of 2021.
Kop boss Klopp had been eyeing a January swoop for the 21-year-old midfielder-turned-left-back, who graduated from the Saints academy.
Mcqueen (above) said: “I am delighted to have signed a new deal with the club having been here for so long.” ASTON VILLA want to offload injuryjinxed £7million striker Libor Kozak. The 27-year-old (below) has only started 12 games since arriving from Lazio in September 2013. Villa boss Steve Bruce said: “It has been a disaster area. “Kozak needs to go and play somewhere now. He’s not had much luck here.”
