GEORGE Michael’s close pal Shirlie Kemp has slammed his ex for revealing the tragic star’s secrets.

The Wham! backing singer, 55, hit out at Kenny Goss, 58, for sharing stories about the singer’s drug use and sex life. She said: “It’s been a very sad week and so hurtful for George Michael’s family, friends and fans. He would appreciate, all that matters is his music.” George died aged 53 on Christmas Day, suffering heart and liver disease. Kenny, who dated him for 13 years until 2011, has pocketed €125,000 for the Goss-michael Foundation he set up with the star by giving interviews. Speaking about the funeral, he said George’s sister, Melanie, gushed about their relationship in her eulogy. He said: “She talked about how in love George was with me and how excited he was to meet me.” On George’s drug use, the Texan said: “I would flush everything down the toilet. He was absentminded, so would just think he’d lost them.” Kenny said of George being caught cruising on London’s Hampstead Heath in 2006: “The only thing George was worried about was that the bloke hadn’t been better looking.” And of the star’s 1998 arrest in a Beverly Hills toilet, which outed him, he said: “I wasn’t angry. I didn’t say, ‘Who the f*** does something like that’, or ‘I’m leaving you’. I thought it was a moment of madness. I think he wanted to get caught.” Shirlie, who was introduced to her hubby Spandau Ballet bassist Martin Kemp by George, gave a touching tribute to him at the Brit Awards in February alongside Wham! bandmates Andrew Ridgeley and Pepsi Demacque.
