Gardai reveal he was lining up more victims

The woman dated Sonia Blount’s murderer, 35, when she was younger and said he was a “weirdo”. Detectives believe they found a list of future victims in his house. A source said: “He would have gone on to assault them or worse.”

GARDAI believe evil killer Eric Locke was ready to attack other women on his “list” of female targets and rejection fuelled his demonic rage.
The Irish Mirror learned yesterday a former girlfriend described him to friends as a “complete control freak” and is relieved to have escaped his clutches. Twisted murderer Locke, 35, strangled terrified Sonia Blount with her phone charger cable – then suffocated her by forcing her T-shirt into her mouth with such force he broke her teeth. He was sentenced to the mandatory life term at the Central Criminal Court on Friday after he was unanimously found guilty of murdering the mumof-one, 31, at the Plaza Hotel in South Dublin on February 16, 2014. A source said: “Locke was a premeditated killer. “Had he not handed himself in and been charged with murder God knows what would have happened. “Gardai believe he had the capacity to attack and even kill other women. “Not only was he stalking several women online but the next step would have been to physically stalk them and attack them. He could not take rejection from a woman. He’d laugh and joke and whatever in public but the minute he was with women he became cold, calculated and an out-of-control freak. “All his relationships with women were very short because they figured out he was a sicko.” A list containing the names, address and phone numbers of other women he was infatuated with were found on sheets of A4 paper during a raid on his home at St John’s Park East, Clondalkin in West Dublin. Locke met Sonia in October 2013 when he began working in the glue factory where she had been employed for nearly a decade and they had a brief relationship. However, during a night out at a comedy gig in January 2014 she dumped him after he called her a “slut” during a row over her chatting to other men when she was out for a smoke. The psycho sent Sonia hundreds of text messages begging for another chance but she eventually blocked him from her social media. However, he did not take the rejection well and set up a fake Facebook profile as Shane Cully to entrap Sonia. The thug then tricked her into meeting him at the Plaza Hotel in Tallaght. His trial heard he sent Sonia several messages as Shane Cully asking her to leave the room keycard at the Plaza’s reception so she wouldn’t look through the peephole when he knocked at the door. Locke admitted bringing a pellet gun, Stanley knife and cable ties to frighten Sonia but claimed she screamed when she saw them and he strangled her. He spent the weekend on the C Wing of Mountjoy Prison as he began his life sentence and boasted he was “better” than other prisoners.
