THUG JEZ CLEANS UP HIS ACT
Mcconnell to scrape graffiti off walls after Steph attack
THUG Jeremy Mcconnell will have to scrape graffiti off walls as part of his punishment for attacking his former lover Stephanie Davis, it has been revealed. The Dublin model has made plans to stay with reality star pal Richard Cull or his parents while he carries out 200 hours of unpaid community service in a small Welsh town. He was handed a suspended prison sentence last month after throwing his ex around “like a rag doll”, leaving her battered and bruised. Dad of one Jez, 27, will no longer be rubbing shoulders with models and reality stars but will be working alongside convicted criminals to clean up the community in the quaint town. Richard’s mum Donna said she planned to welcome the former Ex On The Beach star with open arms yesterday but added it wasn’t clear if he would stay at his pal’s flat in Cardiff or with them at the family’s home in the Welsh Valleys. The practising Christian even added she hoped the former cocaine addict, who was convicted of assaulting Steph while she held their baby son in her arms, would join her religious rehabilitation group.
CONVICTION
The punishment comes after Mcconnell was found guilty at Liverpool Magistrates court of attacking Stephanie. Under the UK government’s rules, unemployed people with convictions must do three or four days a week of community service. Mcconnell narrowly avoided jail for the assault, with trial judge Wendy Lloyd blasting him for showing “no remorse”, even when his baby son Caben-albi was put at risk. The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate was told he could still go to prison for the horrific events of March 9 if he fails to comply with the Probation Services. Mcconnell told the judge at his assault trial that he is “self-employed” and the court heard his income is “variable” and he appears not to have any savings. But that doesn’t seem to have stopped him flying back to Dublin at the weekend for a night out with pals. He posted a selfie with Russian model Anastasia Kosta who was in town for the Dublin v Mayo match. In addition to the unpaid work, Mcconnell has had to pay Stephanie €1,100 in compensation and a further €1,100 for her legal costs. He must not contact Stephanie, her mum or her aunt under the terms of a strict three-year restraining order. A spokesman for Jeremy refused to comment.
