Bus damaged in city smash

A DUBLIN Bus was badly damaged after a collision with a van yesterday morning.

The double decker and the large van collided shortly after 7am on the junction of Townsend Street.

Emergency services were forced to close the road for around two hours while dealing with the crash and diversions were in place.

Luckily, with no passengers on board at the time of the incident, no serious injuries were reported, .

A Garda spokesman said: “The collision has been cleared and diversions are now lifted. Traffic lights are out and gardai are directing traffic at the site.”
